Sensible caution, both ways
- Ordinary relationship wisdom applies: mismatched expectations, financial entanglement early, and anyone who isolates you from your friends are red flags in any culture;
- Respect goes both directions — approach people as people, not categories, and you'll mostly meet the same in return;
